The complaint sets out the same pattern the stories on this site describe: an account limitation, a 180-day hold, and a debit of the balance recorded as damages under the Acceptable Use Policy.

## What are the PayPal AUP?

AUP is the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy: the rules that state what you are allowed to buy and sell. PayPal is allowed to change them at any time.

The PayPal User Agreement provides for liquidated damages of $2,500 US dollars per violation, which may be debited directly from the account.
